Project Nim

de James Marsh

From the creator of Man on Wire, a documentary on the man who walked across a tightrope stretched between the Twin Towers, now comes the story of a chimpanzee that astonished the world in the seventies. Project Nim portrays the life of this small ape that was raised as a human. Through interviews and meaty stock footage, the movie reconstructs Nim’s activity starting from early “apehood”. Director James Marsh has achieved a film that is as entertaining as it is deep: from the family dramas at Nim’s different homes to the communicative progress of this unique chimpanzee.
