Cosmopolis
Synopsis
The sum of so much talent unleashed total madness at the most recent Cannes film festival: the fittest director in contemporary cinema, the actor who’s all the rage and the best-selling writer. Or in other words: Cronenberg, Pattinson, DeLillo. Cosmopolis is on a par with each of these names. Cronenberg offers us a film with a rarified atmosphere, which examines (in even greater than A Dangerous Method) the word. The challenge is immense: being shut up in a stretch limo, where a young businessman is travelling, while the world collapses. A tour de force that the master Cronenberg comes out of with flying colors.
