Komona is 14 years old and lives in an African village. One day she is kidnapped and taken to a camp where she is trained to be a child soldier. Komona manages to escape with one of her companions, but when she finally gets to savor a nice, peaceful life, tragedy shakes her again. Inspired by a true story, shot entirely in The Congo and with a non-professional leading lady, Rebelled gives us a glimpse of its director’s exhaustive work. A painful film due to its tremendous realism, that can’t escape from the claws of violence.
