A couple enters a restaurant. When the moment arrives to take their order, the waiter begins to write compulsively in his notebook, page after page, nonstop. The beginning of Gente en sitios marks the film’s tone: disconcerting, humorous and absurd. Following Dispongo de Barcos and the medium-length movie El Señor, Juan Cavestany delves into the possibilities of low cost cinema, making a critical manifest with almost political hues.
Madrid, 1967. Director, playwright and screenwriter, creator of the "trilogy" Dispongo de barcos (10), El señor (12) and People in Places (13) and of the series Spanish Shame, this last one along with Álvaro Fernández Armero.
