Synopsis

1933. Korea is occupied by the Japanese forces. A group of exiled rebels plans to kill a Japanese commander, but the only assassin that can take charge of such a delicate task is in jail. The resistance prepares to break her out of prison when a spy alerts the Japanese, precipitating a web of betrayals in this frenetic film combining political suspense and breathtaking action.

Choi Dong-Hoon

Originally from Jeonju and a Korean Academy of Film Arts graduate, he worked as Im Sang-soo’s assistant before debuting in 2004 as a filmmaker and screenwriter with the successful The Big Swindle. His filmography includes Tazza: The High Rollers (06), Woochi (09) and The Thieves (12).
