Salem

As if it were a sort of Romeo and Juliet set in the suburbs of Marseille, this hybrid of social drama and fantasy tells the story of the love between a couple of teenagers who belong to rival gangs, a confrontation that seemingly reaches its climax when he winds up gets her pregnant. A war breaks out between the two gangs, and they are both convinced that the baby to be born may be the key to its end.
