Submissions are now open for the 59th edition

We are pleased to announce that submissions are now open.

The standard period for submitting your projects will run from today until June 18th. Subsequently, an extended period will be available from June 19th to July 16th at 12:00 noon. As was the case for last year's Festival, the process will be managed exclusively through the Festhome and FilmFreeway platforms. 

Both the Programming Department and the Selection Committee are eagerly awaiting the feature films and short films that will make up the Festival's different sections: from the Official Fantàstic In Competition Selection to Sitges Family, along with Panorama, Órbita, Noves Visions, Anima't, Midnight X-Treme, Brigadoon, and Sitges Documenta. 

New this year, we have updated the selection criteria for feature films in the Official Selection, where world and international premieres will be given priority. In the case of entirely Spanish productions, the requirement that the film be a world premiere is essential. You can consult the complete regulations for this and the other sections via this link. 

Likewise, in the Film Submission section on our website, you will find the conditions and submission rules for this year's edition. In addition, we have created a new section with frequently asked questions (FAQ) to address any questions you may have throughout the process.
