Blood Red Carpet was born as an initiative for the international promotion of acting talent by identifying emerging values within audiovisual production. During 5 editions, an initiative was created for the international promotion of acting talent that wanted to point out the emerging values within national and Ibero-American audiovisual production. In this event, the selected actors and actresses had a sponsor consolidated in the international arena who accompanied them as a mentor throughout the program. Thus, the Blood Red Carpet paraded, for example, the actress Goya Toledo or Brys Efe and young promises such as Martiño Rivas, Pol Monen, David Geli, Georgina Amorós or Laia Manzanares, among others.
Since then, the Blood Red Carpet label has been converted into talks about the figure of the actor and the creation of characters from different aspects.
With this premise, round tables have been proposed such as How much is an actor worth?, formed by the actress Juana Acosta, the actor Luka Peròs, the producer David Matamoros and it was moderated by Luci Lenox, casting director, where they reflected on the new casting models and the inclusion of social networks and followers as a categorization of acting talent.
Genre and horror films have found in the world of fashion an unstable source of inspiration for the creation of their characters. Fashion, with the emphasis on aesthetics and transformation, provides a rich visual narrative that complements and amplifies the impact of horror. By focusing on the superficiality and vulnerability of the human body, these stories explore the deepest fears and insecurities of contemporary society. Fashion and horror films, together, create a visual and emotional symphony that resonates deeply with the viewer. The film critic and historian Alexandra Heller-Nicholas spoke about all this.
The debate on how to create a character has been raised from different perspectives, from the prism of costumes, with costume designer Viñedo Escobar, or from acting with Gerard Oms, acting coach of actors Mario Casas, Ana Wagener, Bárbara Lennie, Marta Nieto and Begoña Vargas, among others.
