Young director Fabrice du Welz presented his latest work, Vinyan. The film, competing in the Festival's Official Fantastic Selection, hace gala de un terror cotidiano y real.
Vinyan is the story of a married couple, Jeanne and Paul, who haven't been able to get over the tragic death of their son in the tsunami that affected the Thai coast a few years back. The couple stays at the scene of the events, hoping to find their son alive. But that is unthinkable. This is a ghost story, a story of the internal drama of parents who are desperate due to the loss of their child.
The film stars Emmanuelle Béart and Rufus Sewell. The movie's director posed for the media in the Hotel Meliá gardens.
