The Sitges Festival and the Terramar Gardens join forces for a film night with John Williams' soundtracks
John Williams’ popular melodies will be heard at the Sitges Terramar Gardens Festival on July 27 performed by the Film Symphony Orchestra. This concert is the result of an agreement between the Sitges - International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia and the music event, celebrating its third edition this year.
The Terramar Gardens Festival is held in century-old gardens, in an Auditorium with a capacity for 2,300 people. Its musical offerings include Joan Baez, Rick Astley, Luis Fonsi, Gerge Benson or Niña Pastori, among others. In addition, this year the festival is launching its new Pop-Up stage, dedicated to local talent and with free admission.
The Film Symphony Orchestra will be arriving for the first time to Sitges where, after more than 60 concerts, it will be performing the final show of its Special John Williams Tour, the greatest tribute ever to this composer, winner of five Academy Awards and 51 nominations.
Directed by the charismatic conductor Constantino Martinez-Orts, we will have the chance hear the composer’s best known musical scores: Harry Potter, Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Superman, Indiana Jones, Jaws or Schindler's list, among others.
The collaboration agreement between the Sitges Festival and Terramar Gardens is driven by the goal of generating festival dynamics and promoting Sitges and its cultural commitment.
