Sitges screened the movie debut of Luis Calvo Ramos. The film, entitled Prime Time, speaks about the limits of the television world: the most brutal side of reality shows.
Elena, nervous and tired after a day of work, returns home and argues with her boyfriend. The argument culminates in a group of uniformed men bursting in and kidnapping her, sedating her and taking her away. When she wakes up, she finds herself in a steel area with her boyfriend and five other contestants. It's a new reality show on Shock Television, a channel you can watch on the Internet. All the contestants hide a secret that they'll be judged for. When the moment arrives, the audience votes them out. The winner will receive the biggest prize ever given on television.
The film, with its claustrophobic atmosphere, stars Leticia Dolera, known for her acting work in series like Los Serrano and Hospital Central, Alberto Amarilla, seen on El Camino de los Ingleses and Pablo Puyol, who was in Uno Paso Adelante.
After the film's presentation, the director and all the movie's actors and actresses posed for the media at the Hotel Meliá lookout point.
