The Sitges Festival and Terramar Gardens join forces for an evening of cinema and music
The scores from J.A. Bayona’s films will be heard at the Terramar Gardens Festival in Sitges this upcoming July 20th, performed by a symphony orchestra. The concert is the result of an agreement between the Sitges – International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia and this musical event, celebrating its second edition this year.
The concert An Evening of Music and Cinema will be Terramar Garden’s opening session and will kick off 14 days of live music in a privileged setting. The festival is held in these almost nearly century old gardens, in an Auditorium with a maximum seating capacity for 2,300 people. The musical offerings include Luz Casal, Joan Manuel Serrat, Texas, Rosario, Gloria Gaynor or James Rhodes, among others.
Fernando Vázquez will be the director of the symphony orchestra that will perform musical scores from Bayona’s films. These different scores can be heard while viewing images from various moments from his feature films.
The agreement of collaboration between the Sitges Festival and Terramar Gardens is in line with the objective of generating festival dynamics and promoting Sitges and its commitment to culture.
