The Mexican Feratum festival joins in Sitges' 50 year celebration
The commemorative 50th anniversary exhibition will be travelling to the Mexican film competition from September 20th to 24th
As a part of its seventh edition, Feratum, the most prominent international fantastic, horror and science fiction festival in Mexico and Latin America, will be showing the Sitges 50 commemorative exhibition, one of the most important in European fantastic genre. This collaboration has been made possible thanks to the support of the Sitges Festival, the Catalan Film Library and the Ramon Llull Institute.
Feratum reaches its seventh edition as a solid exhibition, promotion and distribution platform for works by both new filmmakers and genre professionals. The festival takes place in the magical town of Tlalpujahua, in Michoacán.
The exhibition, co-produced by the Catalan Film Festival and the Sitges Festival, and curated by Diego López, was presented last summer at the Catalan Film Library and, subsequently, it travelled to Sitges on the dates of the Catalan film competition. And before Feratum, it could be seen at the Guadalajara International Film Festival.
The show offers a parallel journey between the history of the Sitges Festival and fantastic genre, highlighting the films and guests that have shaped the Festival throughout its 50 years.
